Lemo means orange in English. It is named ' Lemo ' because the big rock hill at this site has an orange shape. Lemo is situated about 11 km to the south of Rantepao or about 7 km from the capital of tana Toraja, Makale in the district of North Makale. This is a burial site on cliffs which belongs to ancient Torajan chieftain. Galleries of effigies ( ' tau-tau' ) guard the graves.
