Objek Wisata Toraja

Toraja memiliki banyak tempat untuk dikunjungi oleh wisatawan. Tempat-tempat seperti tempat bersejarah dan tempat yang memiliki pemandangan yang mejakjubkan.  Hanya beberapa meter dari pusat kota seperti Rantepao dan Makale, kita sudah bisa menemukan banyak rumah adat Tongkonan, kuburan batu, batu megalith menhir, dan lain-lain. Sepanjang tahun juga akan bisa ditemui beberapa pesta adat, seperti upacara kematian dan upacara perkawinan. Toraja juga memiliki hari-hari pasar tradisional yang sangat menarik untuk dikunjungi.

Terdapat juga kegiatan petualangan alam, seperti trekking, hiking, rafting, dan lain-lain.

Batu Tumonga

In this area you can find about 56 stone in a loop with 4 trees in the middle. Most of the stones have a height of about 2-3 meters. From this place you can see the beauty of Rantepao and surrounding valleys.

Bori Parinding

The site of Bori Parinding is a combination of ceremonial grounds and burials. The ceremonial ground is an open space used for traditional ceremonies, including rituals for the dead and thanksgiving.

Buntu Burake

Buntu Burake

One of the new potency in Tana Toraja tourism.  It is located in the  district of Makale, about 25 km south of Rantepao.  From the hill   beautiful panorama and the overwiew of Makale town can be seen.

Buntu Kalando

Buntu Kalando is situated at the district of Sangalla', about 22 km from Rantepao.  At this location some traditional houses (tongkonan) can be found  here.  They belong to the local king, Puang Sangalla'.  There is also a small museum contains the things belong to the king.

Buntu Pune

Formerly, the sites of Buntu Pune and Rante Karassik belonged to one integrated settlement. Buntu Pune was the dwelling compound and Rante Karassik was the ceremonial ground. Although these sites are now separated due to recent development, the sites still function as they did in the past.

Kambira

Kambira is situated  about 19 km to the south of Rantepao in the district of Sangalla'.  It can be reached even by walking from Sangalla'.  There are a lot of baby graves,  liang pia ' or ' passiliran in the living trees.
